In 2015, when oil prices were down, the community rallied together to host the 105th celebration of the city. Paul Linder served as the President and had a board dedicated to putting on another successful 10-day celebration.

In addition to the traditional events from Oildorado, there were some new ones that were hosted by our community that added to the fun including 5th & North music festival, Oil Stock, and West Kern Petroleum Summit, hosted by the Taft College Foundation, which brought in Jeopardy host Alex Trebek and oil tycoon T.B. Pickens.

This was the first year the Headquarters was held in the former Chevy dealership and lots of volunteers helped make it shine for the 2015 event. The headquarters included the store where you could get all of your official Oildorado merchandise, a lounge where you could relax and hang out, and a central location to purchase warrants and event tickets. There were 14 maids of petroleum and Maddison Rubadeau was crowned queen.
