Alli Swearengin is a senior at Taft Union High School. She maintains a 4.0 GPA while balancing three varsity sports, a job, club involvement, and leadership roles.
She chose to become a Maid of Petroleum to honor the legacy of her grandfather, Jim Swearengin, who served as Oildorado President in 2000 and was deeply involved in the celebration for many years. Alli also hopes to inspire young girls to be confident and step outside their comfort zones, just as she once looked up to the Maids of Petroleum.
Her favorite Oildorado memories include being “arrested” by the Wooden Nickel Gang and watching the pageants with her mom and grandmothers.
Alli enjoys raising her pet hermit crab and two baby turtles, who often travel with her. She plans to pursue a BSN degree and become a Nurse Anesthetist.
