Kaidence Boyd
Sponsor: Taft motorcycle club
Kaidence Boyd is a senior at Taft Union High School. She recently earned a 4.0 GPA and qualified for the Valley Championships in swimming for both the 200 and 500 freestyle events.
She became a Maid of Petroleum to carry on a tradition she admired growing up. Kaidence hopes to inspire younger girls the same way past Maids inspired her.
Her favorite Oildorado memory is watching the Maids of Petroleum pageant and seeing the participants shine on stage in their gowns.
Kaidence is part Cherokee and once kayaked down the Illinois River in Tahlequah, Oklahoma—the heart of Cherokee Nation and home to her ancestors.
After graduation, she plans to attend college and pursue a degree in psychology.
